COMM 3 ARGUMENTATION AND DEBATE

3 Units 3 hours lecture
Transfers: CSU, UC
Introduction to the principles of argumentation and competitive debate. Students gain a practical understanding of effective strategies for the construction and refutation of arguments that can be utilized in myriad personal and public situations. Research methodology, use of evidence, communication ethics, and the fundamentals of critical thinking will be emphasized (formerly SP 3).
