Students who place below Math 253 may instead choose to concurrently enroll in Math 253 and Math 253S. Math 253S is a supplemental math course taught in conjunction with Math 253. Math 253S is designed to help students be successful in Math 253 through just-in-time remediation and instructional support. Recommended for students with little or no recent knowledge of algebra who plan to major in business, math, science, or engineering. Pass/No Pass only. Non-degree applicable.Passing Math 253S is contingent on passing Math 253 with a C or better.
