CDE 7H HONORS CHILD GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

Examines the major physical, cognitive, social and emotional developmental milestones for children from conception through adolescence. Emphasis will be on interactions between maturational processes and environmental factors. Students will observe children, evaluate individual differences and analyze characteristics at various stages according to developmental theories. This honors course will be enriched through limited class size, in-depth discussions of child development, and critical analysis of developmental themes. Must be taken for a letter grade. Credit may be earned in either CDE 7 or 7H, but not both.
