Explores the ways in which structures of power and inequality in the United States are imagined and reimagined through culture within Native American, African American, Latinx, Asian American, and Middle Eastern American communities.Cultural forms such as film, photography, music, digital media, literature, body modification, and art will be used to analyze how social hierarchies of race, ethnicity, gender, class, abilities, sexuality, and citizenship are created, altered, and contested.
