HSC 230 CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL CODER(CPC) EXAM PREPARATION
3 Units 3 hours lecture
Prepares students for the Certified Professional Coder certification examination offered through the
American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Students will develop in-depth understanding of physician-based medical coding using critical thinking and review of case studies to: 1) abstract the pertinent information from document 2) select correct codes 3) and determine the correct sequencing of the codes. Letter grade only. (Formerly MA 200).
