DANC 184 MIDDLE EASTERN DANCE

Provides an introductory level understanding of stage and social dances from the Middle East. Course work includes styling, veil work, cymbal playing, improvisation, fusion forms, Dabke, vocabulary and cultural background of the dances. An emphasis will be placed on traditional and contemporary forms of Middle Eastern Dance.
