GEOL 7 WEATHER AND CLIMATE

A survey course in meteorology, introducing students to Earth’s atmosphere, weather processes, global climate patterns, and drivers of climate change in the past and the present. Includes tools and techniques used by meteorologists to observe, interpret, and predict weather. Includes tools and techniques used by paleo climatologists to determine climate conditions in the Earth’s past. Analysis of how human activities affect weather and climate processes and the patterns of global climate impacts.
